Deal-Won / Results / Mike’s Beverages & Liquors
A beverage distributor running since 1959. Its online store tripled in a month.
Mike’s Beverages & Liquors is a San Francisco distributor with a retail counter, B2B accounts and 65 years of history. We rebuilt what happens after an order arrives. Every number below is followed by exactly how it was measured.
The business
Mike’s has operated in San Francisco since 1959. Retail counter at the front, B2B accounts out the back, and a legacy web store that had been quietly underperforming for years while the rest of the business grew around it.
Joe Riccuci owns it. He is the buyer this entire site is written for: an owner who knows his operation in his hands, has no IT department, and has been sold software before.
What we built
-
A rebuilt online store
New storefront, launched 21 May 2026, replacing a legacy web store that was losing to its own catalog.
-
The catalog, migrated and written for search
Roughly 1,095 products moved across and given descriptions written to be found, rather than the import-and-forget text most distributor catalogs carry.
-
Nine marketing and operations automations
The routine work around the store: campaigns, vendor and inventory handling, the tasks that used to be somebody remembering to do them.
-
Victoria, an AI operator living in Slack
The warehouse team messages her in plain English. “Can you add 5 Stumptown Nitro to inventory.” “Send the PDF invoice for Odoo’s last order to my inbox.” Stock, prices, new products, invoices and orders, all from the chat tool the team already had open. Every action is attributed to the person who asked, logged, and reversible.
-
The invoice backlog, collected
$37.2k of legacy invoices backfilled across 42 accounts into the new system. Money already earned that had simply stopped being chased.
The numbers, and what each one actually means
The 3×
Shopify storefront revenue in the first month after the 21 May 2026 launch, measured against the legacy web store over the month immediately before it. That is the online sales channel only. It is not total company revenue, and it is one client’s result rather than a projection for yours.
The $6.2M
Mike’s own full-company revenue trajectory for 2026, published with their permission. It is a projection, not a booked result, and most of it comes from the retail counter and B2B accounts Mike’s built over six decades. We take no credit for that business. It appears here because it is the scale the online work sits inside, and leaving it out would make the 3× sound bigger than it is.
The $37.2k
Legacy invoices backfilled across 42 accounts into the new system. This one is a booked figure rather than a projection.
“Tom has been a game-changer for our business. We’re now growing faster than we ever have in 65+ years.”
Joe was not paid for that, and no quote on this site was given in exchange for a discount or any other benefit.
What this case study does not prove
Worth saying plainly, because you are going to ask on the call anyway.
- We did not deploy order entry here. If you came from the order entry page, treat Victoria as evidence that a warehouse crew will use a system like this daily, not as an order-entry deployment.
- It is one client. One result, in one category of business, in one city. It is not a pattern yet and we are not going to describe it as one.
- Your business is not Mike’s. Different catalog, different customers, different software. The first call is where we find out what your numbers are, because right now neither of us knows them.
